Fundraising to buy land for a disadvantaged group

Not long ago, a friend of ours went to see some of our work in Nicaragua. He came back with a great idea for a project, one that is both innovative and ambitious! Our agent, Veronica, had pointed out a group of women and children living in very poor conditions along the river. Our friend's idea was to purchase a piece of rural land and build small houses on it for these women and  children. We are now considering ways to fundraise for this very worthy project - if anyone has any suggestions on ways to fundraise, or if you are interested in helping us out with this, we would be very grateful!

Dear Supporters- it is with with regret, but also satisfaction about our achievements that we have decided that it time to close the Nicaragua Children’s Foundation.

Political instability in Nicaragua has made it increasingly difficult to deliver programs and services on the ground. We have managed to do so on a reduced scale for the last few years but the situation has worsened and continued meaningful operations is no longer an option.

We would like to express our deep appreciation to the many friends, supporters, volunteers and contributors
who have worked closely with us over the years.  None of this would have been possible without you.

Finally a huge gracias to our dear friend and and Nicaragua agent Veronica and to all of our friends and supporters in Nicaragua. We have learned so much from you all.
